Developmentally appropriate Baby & Me

Our baby & Me classes are 45 min classes that focus on meeting your baby exactly where they are. Led by an experienced occupational therapist, each class is designed to support key developmental milestones through purposeful play, movement, and sensory experiences—all in a warm, supportive environment.

Regardless of chronological age, we focus on what’s developmentally appropriate, ensuring that your child is building the foundational skills they need to thrive. Caregivers will leave feeling empowered with hands-on strategies and play-based techniques to support their little one’s growth at home. Because play is how babies learn best!

CATEGORIES

Early Nest (1-6 months):

Did you know that your baby is already laying the groundwork for future movement, learning, and independence—long before their first steps or first words? Many parents don’t realize how much their little one is absorbing and developing in these early months. That’s where Early Nest comes in.

This class isn’t just about play—it’s about understanding the “why” behind every wiggle, grasp, and coo. Babies aren’t born with fully developed motor and sensory systems; they need the right kind of stimulation to build strength, coordination, and body awareness. Wait and see approach to milestones can mean missed opportunities for growth.

Through expert-led, developmentally appropriate activities, you’ll learn how to engage with your baby in ways that support their natural milestones. Most importantly, you’ll gain the confidence to advocate for your child

Come join Early Nest and discover how intentional play today lays the foundation for lifelong skills tomorrow.

Nest Movers (6-12 months):

As your baby reaches the crawling, standing, and walking stages, you’ll see an explosion of growth and movement—and this is when the fun truly begins! At this stage, babies have ideally mastered crawling on all fours, a critical milestone that strengthens fine motor skills, enhances visual perceptual skills, and builds the neural connections needed for more complex tasks later on. Crawling also helps develop balance, spatial awareness, and cross-lateral movement—all foundational skills for walking. Nest Movers focuses on supporting your baby’s journey through this exciting phase, where they are increasingly exploring and moving in their environment with confidence. In this playful engaging class, we’ll target milestones such as: grasping, transferring objects, hand-eye coordination, strengthening core muscle and balance, crawling, standing, cruising, walking, navigating their environment, visual tracking and depth perception.
